One of my absolute favorite fall cookie recipe....I switch between applesauce and pear sauce to make the most delicious yummy cookies. Honestly.....just melt in your mouth crazy delicious.
Applesauce Cookies
1 Cup Butter
2 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
4 Eggs
1 1/2 Cups Applesauce
5 1/2 Cups Flour
2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 1/2 Tsp Salt
1 1/2 Tsp Cloves
1 Tsp Nutmeg (when I use pear butter)
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
2 Cups Raisins (optional)
Add ingredients in order given until each is incorporated nicely. Drop spoonfuls on baking sheets. (I like to use parchment paper) Bake 10 minutes at 350*
Frosting
1/4 Softened Butter
1 8 oz Softened Cream Cheese
2 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 TBL Milk
2 Tsp Almond Extract
Cream all ingredients together....frost cookies...and try to eat just one.
